Facebook is at it again. Just announced yesterday, Facebook has launched new advertising options which include sponsored pages, ads linked to members’ activities and a reporting capability for Facebook ads. The latest changes also include a system called Beacon, which allows sites to ask their visiting Facebook users if they’d like to share their purchase or action on their site with thier Facebook friends.
Marketers are also able to build their own branded pages on the Facebook, similar to the structure of regular Facebook profile pages – photos, applications, discussions boards, and flash animation are all allowed.
Coca-Cola, Blockbuster, Verizon and Conde Net have already jumped on board. Expect to see a flood of other big-brand companies to jump on the Facebook bandwagon and take part in this latest release.
